How We Build Our Homes
We are different from other builders. Custom
Living uses the finest materials and
attention-to-detail during all phases of construction.
Our sites are neat and orderly, schedules are
professionally managed, and sub-contractors are supervised
daily. Visit our home sites,
meet the builder, and see this
first-hand.

Custom Living begins
with choice real estate on which to build our homes.

Clearing and excavation work
is done to
prepare the lot for the home's foundation.

Professional grading of your lot
ensures proper water drainage for future landscaping.

Open floor plans provide
functional space and dramatic formal
areas. Homes feature multiple two-story space, first
floor masters, private baths on the 2nd floor,
bonus rooms, and gourmet kitchens.

Foundation work begins the exciting start
of the home and sets the groundwork for quality construction.

Proper footing drains ensure that your home is
dry on the interior and exterior of the foundation.

Crushed
stone is used in the crawlspace to help eliminate moisture and allow for outdoor storage.
Quality base material
is compacted under the garage concrete floor to prevent cracking which can occur during
settling.

Framing begins with
installation of the floor joists on the first floor.

First floor exterior walls are framed.

Framing continues on the second floor. The base material for the driveway
is spread and compacted down.

The home continues to take shape with
roofing rafters and interior framing.

The roof is complete,
window installation continues, and interior framing is
finalized.

The home is now fully weather-proofed with
roofing shingles, windows, and exterior doors.
Progress moves inside with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
rough-ins.

With brick siding almost complete,
interior sheetrock will soon begin.

Interior works now includes cabinet and
flooring installation.

Our homes are completed with generous
allowances on the interior and exterior landscaping.
